Today, Monday, the Minister of Construction, Benkin Rikani, inaugurated the southern entrance project of the capital (Baghdad - Bismayah).
A statement by the ministry received by "Al-Eqtisad News" stated that "the Minister of Construction and Housing inaugurated the southern entrance project to the capital (Baghdad - Bismayah)," noting that "the project was supervised by the Roads and Bridges Department affiliated with the ministry."
He added, "The main road was expanded with a length of (14) km for the two-way lanes from (10) m to become (16) m on both sides and fully furnished," indicating, "Two service roads were built on the road path and (4) overpasses, with a total length of (28) km for the main and service road."
He pointed out that "three concrete bridges were built for pedestrians to cross, in addition to the construction of the concrete Rustumiya Bridge, which was previously opened to vehicle traffic," explaining that "the road was covered with the final polymer surface layer and thermal planning, the bridges were illuminated, and traffic and guidance signs were installed."
