[rtl]The Ministry of Industry and Minerals will open two pharmaceutical factories in Baghdad and Nineveh at the end of this year. [/rtl]
[rtl]The Director General of the Samarra Pharmaceutical Company affiliated with the Ministry, Mohammed Abdul Qader Al-Naimi, said: The first factory that will be opened at the end of this year is the Baghdad Factory for Gases and Medical Supplies, which is specialized in producing medical oxygen. It is currently being equipped with new lines to produce sprays and textile and plastic medical supplies. He added that the second factory, located in Nineveh Governorate, will specialize in producing intravenous solutions in partnership with the private sector, and is awaiting the granting of a standard production license, after the success of all drug control tests. It is equipped with modern lines, and standard production and the production plan will begin after obtaining a standard operating license. [/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Naimi pointed out that his company is working on rehabilitating 11 private buildings and equipping them with production lines, in addition to the work of medical staff to produce 281 medical preparations to meet the needs of the Ministry of Health, in addition to registering 29 medical products in Samarra Medicines. Iraq has 24 diverse pharmaceutical factories, but they all produce only about 11% of the total pharmaceutical consumption, while imports cover about 90%, and according to the government's plans, 24 other factories are being established distributed among several governorates.[/rtl]
