The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed, on Monday, its efforts to find practical solutions that guarantee the rights of retirees in the region and achieve justice between them and the rest of the retirees throughout Iraq.
Committee member Moeen Al-Kazemi told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The regional government has not deposited the salaries of 250,000 retirees into the National Authority's Retirement Fund."
He added, "The Ministry of Finance and the Retirement Authority are not obligated to pay the salaries of retirees in the region except in the case of deducting retirement contributions, noting that the regional government is negligent in terms of equalizing the salaries of retirees in the region, similar to their counterparts in Iraq."
