Al-Sudani said during his attendance at the joint prayer held by the Chaldean Patriarchate in the Chaldean Church of St. Joseph in central Baghdad, in order to stop the aggression on Gaza and achieve stability in the region, " We are in dire need at this difficult time of unity, comprehensive discourse, supplication and prayer, in light of what we are witnessing of daily killing."

He added, "This region was the cradle of the heavenly religions that established the values and principles of tolerance, and elevated the value of the human being, whose blood is being shed daily in Gaza and the Palestinian territories," considering that "the occupation government has violated everything and has disregarded all international values, agreements, and laws."

Al-Sudani pointed out that "what is happening is the legitimization of the law of the jungle and the targeting of people everywhere," adding, "Today, we are in dire need of the discourse of the clergy and its moral orientation." He

pointed out that "the statement of the supreme authority, His Eminence Sayyid al-Sistani, indicated the extent of the brutality in the actions of the usurping entity," stressing that "the government's position is firm towards these events that threaten the region with the spread of wars and conflicts, and it stems from all spectrums of Iraqis, and was expressed by religious authorities, popular gatherings and governments."

Al-Sudani continued, "We stand in solidarity with Palestine, which represents the core issue of Iraq, and we reject the aggression that threatens the stability of the region and the world," stressing, "We will not allow any party to tamper with the security of the country, and we work for Iraq and the Iraqis with all their spectrums and components."
