The Ministry of Planning confirmed, on Wednesday, that the five-year development plan aims to achieve economic growth at a rate double that of population growth, while noting that it adopted financial and administrative reform as well as investment in human capital.
He stated that "the plan went towards activating other sectors by increasing their contribution to the gross domestic product and aimed to raise the annual growth rate of the economy so that it would be double the population growth rate, as the population growth rate is 2.5, but the plan set a target of 4.25 economic growth in order to accommodate these increases by improving the level of services and responding to the requirements of unfulfilled development," noting that "one of the basic principles and main programs of the plan is financial and administrative reform as well as investment in human capital, as the state's orientation and policies, whether within the government program or within the strategic plans, is digital transformation or automation of all aspects of life, and steps have been taken in this direction."
