    On Saturday, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, discussed with the Chairman of the Martyrs Foundation, Abdul-Ilah Al-Naili, the unification of procedures and compensations in the first amendment to the Martyrs Foundation Law.
    The media office of the Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives stated in a statement, which was reviewed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives Shakhawan Abdullah Ahmed received in his office in Baghdad the head of the Martyrs Foundation, Abdul-Ilah Al-Naili, in the presence of a number of representatives."

    The statement added that "during the meeting, they discussed enhancing cooperation mechanisms between the two sides, in addition to discussing the first amendment to the Martyrs Foundation Law No. (2) of 2016 and approving it in this legislative session."

    The statement continued, "The two sides also discussed the importance of continuing efforts and work to achieve justice for the families of martyrs and victims of terrorism and guarantee their rights in all governorates," where it was emphasized, "the necessity of joint work and coordination between the Martyrs Foundation in the federal government and the Ministry of Martyrs and Anfal in the Kurdistan Region; in order to unify procedures and compensation."
