Advisor to the Prime Minister Omar Shaker Al-Hajj reported today, Monday, that the People's Hospital in the capital, Baghdad, will soon open, confirming that it will be under international management.
Al-Hajj told the official newspaper, "The hospital will represent a transition in terms of providing medical services, under international management for the first time in Iraq."
The government advisor pointed out that "the administrative bottlenecks of many health projects in the governorates have been resolved, including Al-Salam Hospital in Mosul, which has reached advanced stages of work."
Al-Hajj revealed that "the Mosul Teaching Hospital, with a capacity of 600 beds, is close to being completed." End/25
