Prime Minister's Advisor Omar Shaker Al-Hajj reported that the People's Hospital in the capital, Baghdad, will soon open, stressing that it will be internationally managed.
Al-Hajj told Al-Sabah: "The hospital will represent a shift in the provision of medical services, with international management for the first time in Iraq," indicating that "the completion of this health institution was done with direct support from Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani." The government advisor pointed out that it was possible to resolve administrative bottlenecks for many health projects in the governorates, including Al-Salam Hospital in Mosul, which has reached advanced stages of work. Al-Hajj revealed that "the completion of the Mosul Teaching Hospital, with a capacity of 600 beds, is imminent."
