    Professor of Political Science at Al-Mustansiriya University, Issam Al-Fayli, confirmed today, Monday (September 23, 2024), that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani has become ready, internally and externally, to be the "man of the next stage."
    Al-Fayli told Baghdad Today, "The Iraqi political arena needs young blood, especially since the state of failure that accompanied the hawks of the political process for nearly 20 years, and their admission that they failed to provide the necessary services to the citizen and to go to a real project in building the state, this statement was not related to one person or one component, but rather several components."
    He added, "It is clear that Al-Sudani's star has begun to rise little by little, and he is almost the next political compass for many parties, especially since he has succeeded in more than one aspect, especially in the reconstruction and services file, which created a political, popular and electoral opportunity for him."
    The political science professor added, "The old political hawks certainly have chances, but Al-Sudani will have great chances, and his participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections will eat away at the popularity of those hawks and traditional political forces. Also, the response to Al-Sudani's political and popular rise by the political hawks has actually begun now, and some of the forces of the Coordination Framework want to participate in the elections on a single list with Al-Sudani, and some other parties have started a raging war with the Prime Minister through media statements."
    Al-Fayli continued, "Al-Sudani was able to build bridges of regional and international relations, and these bridges prepare him to be the man of the next stage, in addition to the fact that the political forces, especially within the Coordination Framework, began to pressure to change the election law in order to undermine Al-Sudani's electoral chances."
    Observers believe that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani (head of the Euphrates Party), unlike his predecessors, left the chair and went to the field as a supervisor, follower and informer. The fields of work and reforms were like the official field headquarters for his work as Prime Minister, citing the completion of work on various projects in record times that were unprecedented, in addition to his continuous presence among the masses in various areas of Baghdad and even in some areas of the governorates during his visits to them, armed with will, determination and persistence.
    These qualities are seen by observers as the pillars of the stage that herald the start of the national achievement that none of his predecessors were able to achieve, a matter that sparked the citizens’ conviction in him, restoring their trust and hopes in his being and the brilliance of his ideas and management.
