Shabander women broker for politicians with Maliki’s knowledge, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -MP Ali al-Timimi of the Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend criticized the Iraqi Premier, Nouri al-Maliki and the MP Ezat al-Shabander within Maliki’s political coalition.
Timimi said on Monday “Maliki’s existence on top of the authority would encourage the spread of corruption and the corrupted officials,” noting “We have conclusive evidences which stress that Shabander and others became women brokers for some politicians in the Green Zone with the knowledge of Maliki.”
“The recent statements of Shabander in which he offended the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, are not the first he issued against Sadr, as he lives fluctuation of beliefs where he was with the Islamists then joined the seculars then returned to the Islamists,” he added.
“These figures are the real danger facing the political process where they let Maliki to adopt dictatorship and monopolization of authority,” Timimi stressed.
Shabander has launched harsh criticisms against the head of the Sadr Trend after the latter refused to receive him in Beirut.
