Federal Court reverse its previous decision and recognize the right of Parliament to propose laws and legislation

BAGHDAD / Baghdadi News / ... confirmed the MP for the National Federation of powers Ghaida Kmbash, on Tuesday, the Federal Court overturned its earlier decision which purports to deny the House of Representatives of the legislation of laws and recognized the right of Parliament in its proposal and legislation.

She said in an interview for Kmbash / Baghdadi News /, that "after the appeal was submitted to the Court on the interpretation of the former and not to judge the legitimacy of Parliament in proposing legislation and any law, provided a new interpretation."

She added: "reported in post new interpretation holds that the Council's right to see the enactment of any law that it is the core of the legislative competence, provided that it is not a financial bush until it takes the opinion of the Council of Ministers and the executive branch, and that does not respect the independence of the independent bodies and the judiciary."

She explained that it "has the right to also submit a bill after it is read the first and second readings, and gets the vote, and after the project is considered a binding law of the House of Representatives" .
