Minister of Labour and discuss with the World Bank, the stages of implementation of the social protection system in Iraq


 Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Mohammed Shia 'Al Sudani said the World Bank's clear positions through continuous technical support for Iraq, which contributed to the development of an integrated social protection system of the country which is the main objective of the ministry at the current stage.
Sudan said at a meeting with a delegation from the World Bank, headed by a large social protection programs officer at Bank Ghassan Khoja, Tuesday, that the ministry has made great strides in the delivery of social protection project and was able to organize programs to SSN according to scientific systems contribute to the inclusion of individuals and poor families this system .
He pointed out that the ministry is still working on providing social security for all employees in the public, private and unorganized sectors and seeks to establish a social security system to achieve equity and financial sustainability to support and activate particular the private sector in the light of the economic circumstances in the country.
The minister also discussed with the World Bank representatives the issue of merging funds social security and public retirement and that are discussed in a workshop yesterday was attended by social workers and a representative of the World Bank partners, pointing out that the bank expressed observations on some of the points that have been raised in the workshop and will take the ministry made the remarks in accordance with the the road map agreed upon in advance.
The Minister of Labor said the meeting also included a discussion of how to develop the capabilities of social workers through training courses World Bank expressed its readiness to organize them were selected 80 researchers to be brought into the basic course for social protection systems and how to handle and deal with poor families to record their statements, indicating that the World Bank will set up a training cadre of researchers in order to benefit from their expertise in the development of the skills of other researchers.
He said the ministry and through joint cooperation with the Ministry of Planning will end soon prepare your poor and marginalized with families that have been scanned in the field by the social research teams affiliated to the ministry where this record represents a survey or census is based on the National Register by the
