Shahristani: All financial rights of former regime’s political prisoners given

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The head of the ministerial commission formed to consider the demonstrators’ demands, the Deputy Premier, Hussein al-Shahristani, announced giving all the political prisoners of the former regime their financial merits.
Shahristani said in a press statement “We contacted the Political Prisoners Department which showed that 1000 political prisoners of the former regime are receiving retirement salaries and all the financial rights of the former regime’s martyrs were paid where the majority of their transactions have been settled in this regard.”
It is worth mentioning that dozens of political prisoners of the former regime demonstrated in Baghdad and Maysan provinces on last Sunday demanding for their financial rights.
Concerning the provision of the electric power during 2013, the Deputy Premier for Energy Affairs, stressed that “2013 is the year of real electricity in Iraq where it will reach the citizens smoothly and all the sufferings in this respect will be resolved.”
