    Ministry
    of planning and development cooperation, Tuesday, declining poverty
    rates in Iraq during the past years, the month of June will see the
    announcement of the Ministry's report on poverty in the country, said
    that the poverty rate in June to about 18%.

    Iraqi Planning
    Minister Ali Shukri told the (term), "the Ministry's existing indicators
    show declining poverty rates in Iraq during the past years," adding
    that "the Ministry will issue a general report on poverty rates in
    June."

    El shukrijumah was likely "to reach the level of poverty
    in Iraq, according to the Ministry's report for the month of June to
    about 18%.

    The Ministry of planning, admitted in the (12 may
    2013), the failure of the five-year plan developed by 2010 for years
    (2010-2014), which aims to reduce disparities between urban and rural
    areas, and increase the GDP, asserting that Iraq was still away from the
    border set by the United Nations.

    The Ministry of planning,
    announced (June 2011), the level of poverty in Iraq amounted to
    approximately (23%), meaning that a quarter of Iraq's population lives
    below the poverty line, including some (5%) Living in extreme poverty,
    while the 3rd of June 2012, that the unemployment statistics in Iraqi
    society (16%).

    Iraq suffers from considerable unemployment among
    young people who are able to work or among university graduates, and
    many economists believe that the statistical estimates for these youth
    do not necessarily reflect the existing realities, and the country
    suffers a severe housing crisis in view of the increasing population, as
    measured by number of residential complexes, in addition to the
    inability of low income citizens build their own housing units, because
    of the high cost of land and construction materials, while experiencing
    many neighborhoods and areas of the capital, according to observers and
    specialists with regard service, worsening In poor urban-level services
    and health services, with substantial financial budgets are allocated
    for these purposes.

    The Ministry of labour and Social Affairs has
    established centres run unemployed (28 December 2003) was a subordinate
    to the Department of social security.
