    [ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A group of tribal leaders from around the Iraqi provinces issued on Saturday national code of honor that affirms the sanctity of the Iraqi blood and rejects the sectarianism and terrorism.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The code of honor which was recited by a tribal leader during the symbolic meeting that has been held at office of Ammar al-Hakim, Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council on Saturday “The attendees pledged to issue national code of honor for all the Iraqi tribes where this charter aims at protecting Iraq’s unity and consolidates the peaceful co-existence, affirms the sanctity of the Iraqi blood and confronts terrorism.”[/ltr]
    [ltr]“The first item of the code assures that the Iraq’s interest and its constitutional goals is the supreme interest which all have to work on achieving it away from the personal and factional interests,” the tribal leaders added.[/ltr]
    [ltr]“The second item of the charter assures the sanctity of the Iraqi blood and confront the terrorism,” the code added noting “The Islamic religion and all the other divine religions taboo the bloodshed and call for peaceful co-existence, so this code emphasizes the commitment to the divine religions and condemn all forms of violence.”[/ltr]
    [ltr]“The Code of honor assures that all Iraqis are partners in this country and enjoy equal rights where the discrimination on basis of ethnics or religion or sect is rejected and condemnable as it violates the divine teachings and the applicable laws and it helps disrupt the national harmony,” according to the code.[/ltr]
    [ltr]“The code also calls to support the achievements fulfilled in Iraq after 2003 and to actively participate in building the state departments and eliminate all forms of financial and administrative corruption and issue legislations at the parliament that ensure the tribes’ social, economic and political rights ,” the code confirms.[/ltr]
    [ltr]At the end of the meeting, the attendees signed the code of honor.[/ltr]

    [ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, announced his intention to issue a law through the parliament that is consistent with the Constitution’s item that bans the tribal norms which contradicts with the laws and the human rights.[/ltr]
    [ltr]During his speech at the symbolic meeting that comprises tribal leaders being held at his office on Saturday, Hakim said “We are seeking through the parliament Citizen Bloc to issue a law that matches the Constitutional item which bans the outlaw tribal standards or that violate the human rights.”[/ltr]
    [ltr]“Also, we are working on issuing the laws that help rehabilitate the tribes and develop their role in building the society,” he added.[/ltr]
