    The Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said that his country has previously taken funds to Iraq in an official, clear and public manner to support the efforts of the Iraqi authorities to release the kidnapped Qataris, stressing that these funds did not enter through smuggling, Abadi, the Iraqi Prime Minister at a press conference.
    The foreign minister said in a statement to Al-Jazeera and his follower / Mawazin News / that "the kidnappers of Qataris and their accomplices were issued visas officially and were under the protection of the Iraqi security authorities when they were kidnapped," expressing his surprise "from the talk of Abbadi, who indicated at the press conference that it was not Satisfied with the issuance of these visas. "
    He expressed surprise, "from the talk of Abadi on the lack of knowledge of the Iraqi authorities details of the negotiations," stressing that they were fully informed of them.
    He added that "the Qatari government has not faltered during the kidnapping period, which lasted for a year and a half in contact with the Iraqi authorities," noting that "there was full coordination in all details, and requested the Iraqi authorities from the State of Qatar in more than one meeting support in the process of freeing the abductees" .
    Sheikh Al-Thani said that "the State of Qatar wanted to provide support to the Iraqi authorities and if it does not need this support, the funds will return to Qatar in accordance with the appropriate legal procedures for the Iraqi authorities," pointing out that "these funds had been introduced to Iraq openly in ordinary bags and Stamped diplomatic stamp to spare inspection. "
    The foreign minister stressed "his country's commitment not to violate the sovereignty of States and international laws and not to get involved in money laundering issues," adding that "these funds were introduced to Iraq officially and will get out of there also formally."
    He stressed that "these funds would have been at the disposal of the Iraqi authorities," stressing that "the State of Qatar did not deal with armed groups outside the powers of the state."
    He pointed out that "these funds if used by the Iraqi government to support these groups, this is an Iraqi issue and not a country issue."
