Release Iraqi fishermen detained by the Kuwaiti authorities
BASRA, April 14 (UPI) - Emad al-Eidani, assistant director of the governor's office in Basra, released six Kuwaiti fishermen who were being held by the Kuwaiti authorities.
Al-Eidani said in a statement to the media that "based on the guidance of the governor of Basra, Majid Nasrawi, the Iraqi naval force command, after intensive efforts and in coordination with the Kuwaiti side of their naval leadership to release the six Iraqi fishermen with their lengthening.
The security committee in the Basra provincial council, revealed earlier on Thursday, the arrest of seven Iraqi fishermen by the Kuwaiti naval patrols in the waters of Khor Abdullah.
