The stability of oil prices in world markets
LONDON (Reuters) - Oil prices on global markets have stabilized on Monday despite rising US production, with a drop in crude inventories likely to boost the market.
Brent crude futures contract settled at $ 52.72 a barrel on Thursday, 21 August 2017, unchanged from the previous close. Intermediate futures for the US Intermediate crude oil futures contract reached $ 48.54 a barrel, up 3 cents from the previous price. Close it.
Reuters quoted traders as saying that the rise in US production, which exceeded 9.5 million barrels per day, the highest level since July 2015, led to the market, while Baker Hughes confirmed that companies reduced the number of oil drilling platforms by Five excavators in the week ending August 18, bringing the total to 763 platforms.
Global oil prices rose last Friday, 2% as the stock market rose on Wall Street and the dollar fell.
