     Iran's exports to Iraq reached 3 billion dollars in 6 months

    In the first four months of the current Iranian year, Iraqis imported two billion dollars worth of Iranian goods to become the second largest importer of Iranian products in the region, Bahzad said, confirming an 8 percent increase in exports compared to the same period last year. Exports focused on shipments of goods from Agricultural products, mechanical machines and equipment, electrical appliances as well as medical and pharmaceutical supplies.
    Other exports of Iranian products to the Iraqi market, according to Behzad, included pasta and dairy products as well as petrochemicals and industrial oils. 
    In reference to the Baghdad International Fair, which is expected to be held in early October, Iranian Trade Attaché Behzad said that this event is a good opportunity to introduce Iranian companies and products. He pointed out that Iranian company managers can negotiate with their Iraqi counterparts As well as managers of companies from other foreign countries participating in the exhibition, such as Germany, the United States, Korea, Qatar, France and other countries, pointing out that Iran will have a distinguished presence during this event.
    "Iraq imports about 30 billion dollars a year from goods from around the world. Iran's share of these exported goods is around 24 percent, which makes Iraq the third largest importer of Iranian goods after China and Turkey," Behzad said.

    According to preliminary estimates of the Ministry of Oil that Iraq has a reserve estimated at 132 trillion cubic feet of gas, and since about 70% of Iraqi gas is a gas associated with the extraction of oil, nearly 700 million cubic feet of it was burning and waste because of the lack of infrastructure to address, Iraq ranks eleventh among the countries of the world rich in natural gas after Russia, Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, America, Nigeria, Venezuela and Algeria.
