    Babil Investment Commission announced the grant of (4) investment licenses for various investment projects to local investors during the current week, to become the number of investment licenses granted during the current year (8) Investment opportunity submitted to the National Investment Authority for approval. 
    The Director General of the Authority, Dr. Nasr Hamoud Al-Enezi, told (the extent) that the year 2017 was a distinguished year of investment opportunities, the Babil Investment Commission gave eight investment opportunities, and there are 23 other investment licenses submitted to the National Investment Commission for approval.
    He explained that the Authority granted (4) investment licenses in the sectors of industry, agriculture, trade and services during the current week, and the vacations included a floating cage project for fish farming in the area of ​​Awfi, a commercial complex project in the center of Hilla, a brick factory project in Shomali district, Hilla Center. At a cost of more than 120 billion dinars. 
    In addition to previous investment vacations, the following investment licenses have been granted during the current year: the plant oil refining plant in Al-Medhatiya, a modern fuel station in Al-Tali'ah, and a commercial complex in Hilla and a modern fuel station in Hashimiyah.
    He pointed out that the Commission has completed more than (23) investment files have been submitted to the National Investment Authority for the purpose of granting investment licenses, and it is hoped that the approvals of the National Investment Commission on a number of them during the coming period. 
    Indicating that the Investment Authority of Babylon, raised the slogan that next year is the year of investment, because it is the best way to build an optimal local economy out of the financial crisis experienced by Iraq through the construction of agricultural projects, industrial and service and according to a programmed scientific plan. 
    He added that the Authority has distributed investment opportunities in the districts and sub-districts in Babylon in order for services to spread throughout the province and not limited to one area. 
    Revealing that the Authority has major strategic projects, such as the city of Hittin industrial and Babylon airport for air cargo and a large power station, and the establishment of free trade area by virtue of the important location of the province.
    Noting that there are many large investment companies and from different countries of the world visited Babylon and met with local officials and the Babylon Investment Authority to discuss the establishment of investment projects.
