    The Directorate of Public Passports announced on Thursday the resumption of issuance of passports to citizens, while confirming the opening of new offices outside the country to issue passports to expatriates.
     
    The Director General of the Directorate Brigadier Ahmed Abdul Razzaq Abdul Sattar said in a statement to the newspaper "Sabah" official and briefed by "Trend Press", "The Directorate resumed issuing passports to citizens wishing to obtain them inside and outside the country," noting that " Annual of the Directorate and its departments in Baghdad and the provinces of the country all. "
     
    Abdul Sattar added that "the new mechanism adopted by the Directorate in working on the issuance of passports in accordance with the new electronic system, contributed significantly to increase the number issued by the Directorate, in addition to its departments in the country and abroad to more than 25 thousand passports a day, In addition to facilitating the procedures of the Directorate to obtain the passport by the citizen through obtaining the form from the foreign offices to shorten the work of the passport officer to take the picture of the citizen and the edition of the fingers and ten eye iris and receive the transaction only.
     
    "The measures also contributed to significantly reducing fraud and tampering with the travel document because they contain many advantages, including taking the fingerprint and ten fingers of the citizen who wants to obtain the passport and his personal photo by officers specialized in this process trained to detect any case of fraud or Manipulation may be exercised by some weak souls. "
     
    Abdul-Sattar said that "the opening of the Directorate several offices competent to issue passports outside the country, in addition to the intention of the Directorate transfer the office located in Tunisia to the Saudi capital Riyadh, and the office located in France to another country did not specify the lack of large Iraqi communities in those countries."
