    [ltr]North Korea has re-linked the military communications line in the West Korean Gulf with its southern neighbor after a break nearly two years ago.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"North Korea made it clear during high-level inter-Korean talks this afternoon that it has re-linked the military communications line in the West Bay today," said an official of the Unification Ministry in Seoul.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The South Korean official said that his country had confirmed the status of the military communications line in the West Bay region today and that it would occupy it on its part from 8:00 am tomorrow morning.[/ltr]
    [ltr]North Korea severed military communications in the West Korean Gulf in February 2016, in protest at Seoul's decision to close the Kaesong industrial complex.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Observers believe that the re-operation of the military communications line could signal the possibility of sending the North Korean delegation participating in the PyeongChang Olympics, because the inter-Korean road crossing requires cooperation between the two armies.[/ltr]
