The Secretary-General of the Islamic Party of Iraq Iyad Samarrai, on Monday, splits from the electoral alliance of Prime Minister Haider Abadi.
"After Abadi was expected to form an alliance that would be the basis of a majority government, most blocs would reject the alliance with him," al-Samarrai said in a statement.
Al-Samarrai attributed the reason that "Abadi wanted to select individuals from within the blocks, and was considered that the blocks that an attempt to penetrate and break up the row through the selection of strong elements of his class."
