The head of the Committee on Services and Reconstruction parliamentary Nazem Saadi on Monday, close to hosting officials of the Ministry of Communications to find out the reasons for the delay of Internet service in Iraq.
Al-Saadi told Ashqaf News that "we had previously addressed the Minister of Communications and we were informed that there was a malfunction in the submarine cable coming from the Sultanate of Oman and that the crisis would end within a month, but that did not happen.
"We have many drawbacks to the performance and work of this ministry and we will continue to follow during their hosting immediately after the parliament."
Residents of the capital Baghdad and the central and southern regions of Iraq have been complaining about a significant decline in intranet service since the beginning of this year, while the Ministry of Communications attributed the problem to technical problems.
