The head of the Committee on Services and Reconstruction Parliamentary, Nazem Saadi, near the hosting of officials of the Ministry of Communications to find out the reasons for the delay of Internet service in Iraq.

Al-Saadi said in a press statement that "we had previously contacted the Minister of Communications. We were told that there was a malfunction in the maritime cable coming from the Sultanate of Oman and that the crisis would be over in a month, but that did not happen.

"We have many drawbacks to the performance and work of this ministry and we will continue to follow during their hosting immediately after the parliament."

Residents of the capital Baghdad and the central and southern regions of Iraq have been complaining about a significant decline in intranet service since the beginning of this year, while the Ministry of Communications attributed the problem to technical problems.
