The White House issued an official statement emphasizing the scientific and historical importance of the sites where astronauts participating in Apollo missions landed, and the installations and equipment available there.
The statement stressed that the ownership of these sites belong to the United States, therefore, other countries must coordinate with America in the event of the initiation of projects that may affect those facilities and equipment.
The White House statement pointed out that the provisions of the Cosmic Space Agreement in 1967, oblige other countries to keep the facilities and equipment "Apollo" and maintain.
The statement added that the three sites for landing Apollo mission probes are still scientifically active, as they allow for any changes in the environment created by humans over the years.
These include temperature variability, lunar dust, meteorites, solar radiation and other factors that affect artificial materials on the moon.
The United States remains the only country whose representatives landed on the moon between 1969 and 1972. It ended
