Unification of work controls in the Iraqi courts
23/7/2018 12:00 am [rtl] BAGHDAD / Al-Sabah: The two lawyers' unions in Baghdad and Kurdistan have agreed on a number of joint controls to regulate the work of lawyers and unite them to facilitate the work of both sides, in addition to preventing duplication of belonging to the two unions and adopting their identity in work both in the region and in the rest of the country. A statement by the Iraqi Bar Association, received by Al-Sabah, said that "Bar Association President Ahlam Al-Lami headed a delegation from Baghdad. He visited the head of the Bar Association in Bakhtiar Haider. During the meeting, he discussed several axes that resulted in decisions that included the adoption of joint mechanisms and unification of membership conditions in both unions. , Adding that «it was also agreed to prevent duplication of affiliation between the two unions with the issuance of special controls to remove the lawyer from the table of lawyers if he belonged to the other union». The statement added that «the two sides agreed that the identity of the Iraqi Trade Union in the courts of the province promised the identity of the Kurdistan Union window in the Iraqi courts with the issuance of a circular by both sides on this and work without the need for any authorizations». The statement added that the two sides agreed to adopt the disciplinary and disciplinary sanctions that the lawyer will be punished in either of the two unions, with a copy to be taken for the purpose of taking the necessary measures and not to accept the affiliation of the lawyer who was removed from the list of lawyers in both unions.
