Baghdad Council: We need two trillion dinars to complete 300 compressor projects

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Baghdad's provincial council said on Tuesday it needed two trillion dinars to revive the bustling projects across Baghdad and deliver services to all areas, noting that the amount could revive 300 vital projects in the capital.
A member of the provincial council, Saad al-Muttalibi said in a statement to the information that "the Ministry of Finance submitted an estimated amount of 9 billion dinars to the capital Baghdad, significantly helps to revive 9 projects pressing, which can take advantage of this amount over a year to achieve those Projects ".
"The money did not reach the provincial council because it is not represented in the ministerial committee. The council does not know what projects will be paid to it specifically, but it was announced that it is earmarked for the rehabilitation of electricity and water projects," he added.
He explained that "Baghdad needs large funds to complete important projects related to sewage and road cover and delivery of services to the areas of non-serviced and poor throughout Baghdad," stressing that "Baghdad needs at least to Tralioni dinars for the completion of 300 compressor projects, but unfortunately Baghdad did not You get big sums as Basra got it.
