Parliamentary Finance: Budget is a disappointment and will not pass as currently drafted

[url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/6792/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A9]The[/url] parliamentary [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/6792/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%A9]finance committee[/url] demanded Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to sign a pledge to approve any changes affecting the draft budget, to avoid the appeal before the Federal Supreme Court later.
Committee member Muthanna al-Samarrai said in a press statement: "The joint committee between the House of Representatives and the government held a meeting in the presence of Finance Minister Fouad Hussein, and was a discussion on the points and paragraphs fixed by the deputies on the budget law for the next year."
Al-Samarrai added: "There are observations and objections to the law, and the most important of these objections are the allocations of provinces that do not rise to the level of ambition, although the budget amount is very large and explosive approach to what was approved in 2013, reaching 133 trillion dinars."
He continued: "The draft budget is free of investment projects and grades, and the current draft sends negative messages to the Iraqi street, and represents disappointment to the provinces that suffer from lack of services, as well as liberated cities that have been devastated by the result of terrorism," stressing: "The budget will not Pass without amendments to the law by achieving justice to the provinces and provide them with service projects that equate citizens. "
