The Minister of Culture and Tourism of Iraq, Abdul-Amir al-Hamdani, said that there are distinct points between Iran and Iraq in the field of tourism, especially religious tourism, and we will have good cooperation in this field.
At the opening ceremony of the 12th International Tourist Exhibition in Tehran, under the patronage of the Iranian president's assistant and head of the Organization of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Ali Asghar Monsan, Al-Hamdani expressed his satisfaction with his presence in Tehran. He said that culture is the bridge of communication between peoples and should be cross- Iran and Iraq have a historic and long-standing relationship that dates back thousands of years and that their participation in this ceremony comes with the aim of strengthening these relations.
"In the field of tourism, especially religious tourism between the two countries, there are very good commonalities and we have excellent cooperation in this field," he said, adding that tourism is an important hub for cooperation between Iran and Iraq.
He stressed that Iraq is seeking in this area to resolve the obstacles and challenges for visitors Iranians who go to visit the religious thresholds.
