A member of the Committee on Economy and Investment Parliamentary Representative Nada Shaker Jawdat, the Parliament sought to achieve justice in the new salary scale for employees and retirees, calling for improving the salaries of retirees.
In an interview with Badr News, Jawdat said that there are amendments to many issues that will be decided by the parliament at its current session, including the salaries of employees and retirees, some of which are controversial to the political blocs, stressing that the salaries can not be increased low and are deducted from high salaries.
She added that there is an attempt by MPs to raise the salaries of low-income retirees, but it must be in a professional and fair manner, calling on the government to provide all support to the segment of civilian retirees in appreciation of their role in building the state over the past years.
