The Minister of Transport, Engineer Abdullah Laibi, on Wednesday, a statistic for the imports of railways, which amounted to (2812568700) dinars during the past three months.
The Minister of Transport said in a statement that the month of July witnessed a significant rise in the proportion of imports, which amounted to (1226725500) dinars as the highest revenues compared to the previous months, stressing that this achievement was the result of increased interest of the ministry and the government in the railway sector as well as the demand of companies to transport via rail because of low costs Transportation and easy shipping as a safe way.
He added that the ministry has exerted all efforts through coordination with all government departments to adopt railway vehicles in transporting goods and commodities as a national carrier, pointing out that these steps would improve the reality of railways in the country to reach the ranks of international railway companies.
