    A security source said on Monday that 40 foreign companies in Iraq have been accused of spying, while pointing to pressure to end their presence in the country.

    He added that "there are pressures include demanding an end to the presence of these companies and assigning what they do to the protection of Iraqi facilities or the Iraqi special forces SWAT," pointing out that "these pressures serious but illogical and linked to the security of foreign missions and contracts with them."
     
    For his part, a security official said that "the Iraqi government maintains full priorities for security companies operating in the country in fine detail," noting that "no illegal action was marked by the elements of those companies, which are fully subject to government control."




    He stressed that "there are attempts to re-amend and drafting the law of those companies in line with the special interests of those seeking to do so," pointing out that "the law can not be detailed on the size of any party, as the presence of diplomatic missions and foreign attachments of various names linked to the presence of security companies They trust them, and the same is true for non-Iraqi companies and businessmen.
