The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Municipalities completed the initial basic designs for four new cities within Baghdad and three provinces within the government program to provide housing units for citizens.
According an official source in the ministry, said that the recent "Proceeding from the government program included the provision of residential units serviced prices and spaces varied to accommodate different levels of income and reduce the housing crisis, it has Andzzt initial basic designs for four new cities in Baghdad and the governorates of Anbar, Wasit and Babil.

In the same context, the source stated that his ministry "within the project of low cost and the cost of providing 33 thousand housing units, has already completed the designs of the city of Sayab in Basra province, which will provide once completed 40 thousand housing units, of which 17 thousand ready for sorting now."
He pointed out, "The project of low-cost units, includes ten provinces are: Najaf, Karbala, Jerusalem, Babylon, Muthanna, Missan, Basra, Kirkuk, Anbar and Diyala Nineveh."
He noted that his ministry "had called for competent companies in the field of construction mid this year, in order to participate in the workshop through which to provide design models implemented by these companies for this kind of decent role for citizens and an area not exceeding 100 square meters for each house and at a cost not exceeding 30 million dinars. "
