    Shafaq News / The head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafari  said that his country is determined to end the presence of the armed groups, including "Daash organization".

    According to a statement from Jaafari's office received by "Shafaq News" “the latter received in his office in Baghdad , the Assistant U.S. Secretary of State , Bright Makourk and Ambassador , Stephen Beecroft”.

    The statement said that during the meeting , the security situation in Iraq has been assessed and the ongoing political dialogues to solve the crisis

    According to the statement, "al-Jaafari said that Iraq insist on the elimination of Saddam Daash terrorist who affected the security and sovereignty of the country, and violated the sanctity of Iraqis blood “.

    The statement said that Makourk stressed on the need to impose security in Iraq, keep its sovereignty and face the terrorist groups that threaten the security of the region and the world

    Gunmen controlled large areas in northern Iraq during the past week, after battles fought with Iraqi government forces.
