The Minister of Agriculture unveils the largest plant for producing tomato paste in the Middle East

{Economical: Al Furat News} The Minister of Agriculture, Muhammad Al-Khafaji, visited today, Friday, the "tomato, potato, and pepper" crop farms in Yusufiya, south of the capital, Baghdad.

According to a statement by the ministry, Al-Furat News Agency received a copy of it with a number of peasants and farmers, stressing the ministry’s interest and its endeavor to overcome all obstacles and follow-up, stressing that all their needs are provided within the capabilities available to the ministry.
Al-Khafaji stressed that "work is underway to establish the largest plant for producing tomato paste in the Middle East, in the province of Diwaniyah, as well as proposals to create diversion industries that specialize in potatoes."
