The Security and Defense Committee in the House of Representatives proposed, Tuesday (April 20, 2021) to use a "paper" to confront the US-Iranian "conflict" in Iraq.
A member of the committee, Pricean Al-Aajibi, told  IQ NEWS , "The positions of the Iraqi government regarding foreign interference since 2003 are so weak that it has made Iraq an arena for conflict between America and Iran.
He stressed "the need for the Iraqi government to follow diplomatic means, and to resort to the United Nations and the Security Council to resolve the crisis between Tehran and Washington."
Al-Aajibi considered "the government's recent moves towards the Arab arena and strengthening the relationship between Iran and America, a good step."
And among the miracles, that "Iraq is relying on diplomacy to create security and stability," ruling out resorting to military measures, as it is "impossible because the country's situation is difficult and does not allow it to enter the war."
He suggested "using the economic paper by pressure in the event that diplomacy fails to deal with the American-Iranian conflicts," noting that "Iraq is imported from Iran, and American companies operate in Iraq and we can affect both parties through the economy."
Regarding those involved in targeting the headquarters of the US forces, Al-Aajibi said, "The US-Iranian conflict is clear, and Iran is using its arms in Iraq that are working for it and carrying out these attacks."
Commenting on the statement of the former Iranian ambassador, Hassan Danaei Far, regarding the attacks against US forces, he said: "We reject all interference in Iraqi affairs and consider it a blatant interference with the sovereignty of Iraq."
Earlier, Iran's former ambassador to Iraq, Hassan Danai Far, said that attacks against US forces would continue, criticizing the lack of real measures by the American side regarding the redeployment of US forces .
In an interview with the Iranian "Tasnim" agency, Danai Far said that the attacks against the American bases in the Kurdistan region "are consistent" with the attacks that take place in other places in the Iraqi territories .
Last Monday (April 4), a drone carrying TNT hit the airport in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region, in a precedent that was the first of its kind.
