And the ministry said in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it today that "the Minister of Electricity, Majid Mahdi Al-Emara, received on Wednesday, the ninth of June, 2021, in his office at the ministry's headquarters, the Swiss ambassador to Iraq (Lucas Caster)."
And she indicated that "during the meeting, they discussed laying the foundations for development cooperation in the field of clean energy between the two countries, where His Excellency the Ambassador expressed his country's desire to establish renewable energy projects in Iraq, which will reflect the extent of commitment to the implementation of the 2015 Paris Agreement on the global climate to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate its damage. This in turn requires utmost efforts and the need for effective international responses.
And the Swiss ambassador indicated that "his country is ready to develop the work of the national control centers in Iraq, especially with the ministry proceeding to work with the SCADA and Rtu systems, and after activating clean energy projects and increasing production rates so that it can measure the difference between demand and production and control the governorates' shares of energy."
He added that the minister expressed a great welcome for this cooperation, and that the ministry is looking forward to meeting the implementing companies and discussing with them at the dialogue table in order to generalize the experience of renewable energy in various parts of Iraq, and that it will be a supportive energy as it depends on the nature of the atmosphere and temperatures.

He pointed out that the ministry will study production plans and take into account the high quality specifications in power generation, and that the Swiss cooperation is only new evidence of the continuous support and interest for Iraq to achieve sustainable development goals and the application of the latest electric and electronic energy technologies.
At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the Ambassador thanked the Minister, wishing for the development of prospects for future cooperation and expansion in the number and quality of existing and proposed obstetric projects to reach the maximum levels of successful energy investment in Iraq.
