Head of the Economy and Investment Committee in the Jordanian House of Representatives Khaled Abu Hassan affirmed the political will represented in opening doors and breaking down barriers to all economic, commercial and tourism sectors between the two countries.

Abu Hassan added, during his intervention in the committee’s meeting, that “Iraq during the last stage held the tripartite summit that brought together the leaders of Jordan, Iraq and Egypt, in addition to the Neighborhood Partnership Conference that was held in Baghdad.”
He stressed the necessity of “translating the political will aimed at genuine openness between Jordan and Iraq, whether through the government or parliament,” noting that “Al-Adhari requested a meeting of the committee to discuss some issues and facilitate the process of openness between the two countries. He noted that Iraqi investments in Jordan exceed 13 billion dinars, in addition to the volume of trade exchange between the two countries amounting to 440 million dinars, pointing to the mutual endeavor to raise the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.
Abu Hassan thanked the Iraqi ambassador for the warm reception of the Jordanian parliamentary delegation during its visit to brotherly Iraq, congratulating Iraq on the high spirit it enjoys for its will and for overcoming the crises that have recently engulfed Iraq.
