Earth News/ The leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ali Hussein Al-Fatlawi, warned today, Saturday, of the dangers threatening the political rights of the Shiites and the constituents at this dangerous stage, stressing the need for the coordination framework and the Sadrist bloc to agree.
Al-Fatlawi said in a statement received by "Earth News", "There are political data that say that the Sadrist movement and the coordination framework must be compatible, because there are political systems and new political work has begun to grow and develop at this dangerous stage for the Shiites in particular and Iraq in general."
He stressed, "For that day, the alliances began to grow, and we also have sovereign seats equivalent to those of the Sadrist movement, and there is intense competition between Shiites and Sunnis, and this leads to the dispersal of the Shiite political process, and there is support for one bloc at the expense of another."
Al-Fatlawi stressed that “the framework needs the current and vice versa so that everyone is in one position and the majority returns in favor of the Shiites, as the Shiites’ parliamentary seats amount to 60% and they must take their due and their political system that they are accustomed to.”
And earlier today, the representative of the State of Law coalition, Mahmoud al-Salami, said that the parties that want to form the government without involving the coordination framework are not serious in welcoming the presence of a parliamentary opposition, indicating that if it were, it would have granted those who intend to go to the opposition a position in the presidency of Parliament and committees. Parliamentary.
Al-Salami told "Earth News", "If the political blocs that went towards forming the government wanted to have a constructive opposition, it would have been better for them to give part of the Presidency of the Parliament to the side they want to be in opposition."
He added, "Also, granting the presidency of the committees in the Iraqi parliament to those who want them to be in opposition so that they can perform the oversight role to be a successful role, in the interest of the people, Iraq and Iraqis."
Al-Salami concluded by saying, “In the event that the political blocs go to form the government and decide to exclude the coordination framework, the framework has options, including going to the opposition or boycotting the entire political process, where there are reactions towards the boycott.”
The political process and the steps to form the new government are witnessing blockages due to the Sadrist movement’s insistence on excluding the head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki and his coalition from participating in the government formation, while the coordinating framework, which is the coalition of State of Law the most prominent bloc, insists on joining the community in forming the government without excluding a particular party.
