, the Federal Integrity Commission announced, on Saturday, that it had carried out seizures of instruments and exchange transactions and "waste of public money" in a number of Diwaniyah departments, indicating that it was disbursed "unjustly, contrary to the law."
The Commission's Investigation Department said, in a statement received by Mawazine News, that "the Diwaniyah Investigation Office team, which moved to a government bank in the province, carried out an operation that resulted in the seizure of 42 instruments, the amounts of which were disbursed from the provincial council's revenue account in the bank." Indicating that "the sums of these instruments amounted to (470,000,000) million dinars, which the Board has unlawfully issued in the names of a number of its employees."
The department indicated, "In a second operation, the team was able to detect a waste of public money in the Diwaniyah Health Department, after it audited the exchange transaction for the contract to purchase dental chairs for the benefit of the first health sector in the department," explaining that "the Procurement Committee in the Department of Health caused a waste. An amount of (66,000,000) million dinars of public money (the difference in the purchase price of dental chairs), bearing in mind that the total contract amount is (99,000,000) million dinars.”
She added that "the office's team was able, in a third operation, in the Department of Welfare for People with Special Needs in Diwaniyah, to seize exchange transactions for the aforementioned department that were disbursed in violation of the law," noting that "the organization of fundamental seizure records of the executed operations, based on judicial notes, and presented to the competent Diwaniyah Investigation Court judge. In the case of integrity, which decided to conduct the investigation, in accordance with the provisions of Articles (341 and 331) of the Penal Code. Ended 29/N33
