The General Directorate of Industrial Development grants (144) licenses under establishment for new industrial projects last January.
The General Directorate of Industrial Development affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced granting 144 licenses under construction for new industrial projects last January.
The Director General of the Directorate, Mr.:Dear Nazim Abd, the directorate’s efforts continued to provide specialized services and facilities to private and mixed sector projects in accordance with the regulations and privileges of Industrial Investment Law No. 20 of 1998 and within the capabilities available to the directorate, pointing out that the number of licenses granted to establish new industrial projects (under establishment) for the month. The aforementioned amounted to (144) vacations, while plots of land were allocated for the establishment of industrial projects, with a number of (72) plots of land, in addition to granting (49) a need assessment to meet the needs of industrialists of raw materials and fuels, explaining that the directorate pays great attention and care to the progress of work in industrial projects. Through the intensive periodic inspections by the specialized technical committees for all projects and in all governorates, as a field inspection was conducted for (409) industrial projects, in addition to providing other specialized services that included renewing identities for industrial projects with a number of (295) identities and grants.16) Incorporation completion certificate for projects that meet the required conditions, re-enforcement of (2) permits, as well as legal procedures and transfer of ownership amounting to (168) procedures.
