Earth News/ Head of the National Bond bloc, MP Ahmed Al-Asadi, confirmed today, Monday, that Jaafar Al-Sadr is the only candidate for prime minister, noting that what was circulated in the media is incorrect.
Al-Asadi said in a televised program followed by Earth News: "Jaafar al-Sadr will arrive in Iraq tomorrow with his nomination for prime minister."
He added that "what was presented in the media about other candidates for prime minister is incorrect."
He continued, "Jaafar al-Sadr is the only name proposed for the position at the present time."
An informed source denied, earlier, the refusal of Jaafar al-Sadr to take over as prime minister during the next stage.
The coordinating framework forces met earlier and welcomed Al-Sadr's initiative and emphasized that he did not object to Jaafar Al-Sadr's candidacy.
