    Information / follow up..
A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance and former MP, Abdul Amir Taiban, called on the government, on Wednesday, to assume its responsibilities in the issue of border crossings and not to deal duplicity in this issue, calling for the need to open border crossings in the central and southern regions because the citizen began to suffer from high prices.
In a televised statement, Taiban said, "The federal government must assume its responsibilities in the issue of border crossings, and we refuse to deal with duplicity in this issue."
He added, "The government is closing the border crossings in the southern and central regions, and in return it allows the regional government to open all its ports, which causes an increase in the value of goods, and this negatively affects the Iraqi citizen," stressing that "Al-Kazemi's government must deal with the region as the former Prime Minister dealt with him." Haider al-Abadi by controlling the ports and airports.”
Taiban called on the parliament and the government to "open border crossings in the central and southern regions because the citizen began to suffer from high prices," explaining that "customs fees are one of the sources of financial resources for the Iraqi treasury, and the regional government's abolition of foodstuffs causes a heavy loss to the federal treasury."
He called on the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives, the Federal Government and the Ministries of Interior and Finance to “have a clear and unique position in this aspect.”
