Foreign Minister Fawad Hussein held a meeting today, Sunday, that included the Senior Undersecretary for Political and Bilateral Relations, Mr. Nizar Al-Khair Allah, and the Undersecretary for Legal and Multilateral Affairs, Dr. Qahtan Taha Khalaf, and the heads of the relevant departments, Human Rights, the Department of International Organizations and Conferences, the Department of America and the Media Office.
The attendees discussed what was mentioned in the report issued by the US State Department on human rights and freedoms in Iraq. The Minister also listened to the technical views following the follow-ups carried out by the competent departments.
The minister stressed that "the report lacks accuracy and is based in parts on reports issued during previous years, and this recommended continuing meetings and follow-ups in this regard."
