Minister of Trade Alaa Al-Jubouri announced that Iraq suffers from a shortage of wheat produced for the current season, amounting to 3 million tons, in light of expectations that two million tons will be marketed during the current year, while he noted that support for importing wheat from America has been obtained.
Last week, the 2022 season of marketing the country's wheat crop began in Al-Muthanna Governorate, then a number of southern governorates followed suit, amid administrative and technical measures to make it a success.
