Abdullahian to Al-Kazemi: Iran supports the reopening of embassies in Riyadh and Tehran

Shafaq News/ Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian confirmed on Sunday that his country supports the reopening of embassies in Tehran and Riyadh, calling for strengthening Iranian-Egyptian relations.

This came during his meeting with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, who is visiting Iran, a day after a visit to Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, Abdollahian said, in reference to the ceasefire in Yemen, the foreign minister affirmed Iran's support for the continuation of the ceasefire and the need to end the humanitarian siege in the country.

The Iranian Foreign Minister praised Iraq's efforts in strengthening the dialogue component and its constructive role in regional equations and dialogue between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
There have been five rounds of talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia in Baghdad so far.
Noting the commonalities between Iran and Egypt, the foreign minister called for strengthening relations between Tehran and Cairo for the benefit of the region and the Islamic world.
For its part, Iranian Fars News Agency reported that Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi stressed during the meeting the position and role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in regional developments and its proximity to Iraq, adding that "Iraq is serious in developing bilateral relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, its reassuring role in the region."
"We will continue our efforts to enhance regional dialogue and cooperation," Al-Kadhimi stressed.
