On Thursday, the Ministry of Commerce announced the completion of its preparations to operate its government bakeries and launch the subsidized loaf project .
General Director of the General Company for Grain Manufacturing, Atheer Daoud Salman, said in a statement that "the company has completed its readiness to launch its project for subsidizing the loaf by offering its new production of automatic bread and Arabic bread produced by its government bakeries at competitive subsidized prices ."
He added, "The final stages of maintenance work have been reached in the Al-Kadhimiya bakery complex of the company, and the initial operation was conducted for the purpose of starting production and launching the subsidized loaf project adopted by the Ministry of Commerce," stressing that "the company is working at an accelerated pace to rehabilitate its production sites, whether they are factories for the production of flour or Multi-product ovens, opening new marketing outlets in cooperation with the private sector or using available self-means, and supplying the market with government samoun and Arabic bread at competitive prices .
He continued, "We are striving to develop the means of work in the manufacture of grain and to seek expansion in the company's activity and open investment horizons that contribute to maximizing and enhancing its resources ."
