A split hits the Halbousi party
Shafaq News/ The head of the Progress Party branch in Kirkuk Governorate, Muhammad Nasir al-Jubouri, announced on Saturday, the suspension of his political work in the party headed by Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi.
In a statement today, al-Jubouri attributed the reason for suspending his political work in the party to "the political marginalization of the Kirkuk Arabs in a very clear way, in addition to the failure to open important files such as destroyed villages and thousands of disappeared, whose fate has not been known for years."
He pointed out, "The party leaders did not intervene to solve any problem inside the city of Kirkuk despite the many crises such as the non-opening of the Kirkuk airport and the gas and petrol crises, and other crises in which we did not see support for our masses by the party leaders, the absence of any signs of attention by the leadership with this audience." which is estimated in the thousands.
Al-Jubouri also noted that "the Arabs of Kirkuk should not be given their real status in executive positions, whether inside or outside Kirkuk, represented by federal positions, while not giving young people priority in employment and job opportunities."
