    Economy News - Baghdad
Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani confirmed today, Sunday, that the government is determined to form a support team for the Integrity Commission.
The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani visited the headquarters of the Integrity Commission, and upon his arrival held a meeting with the head of the Commission, Judge Alaa Al-Saadi and the advanced staff in it," noting that "Al-Sudani listened to a briefing on the work." The Anti-Corruption Integrity Commission, and the prosecution of those responsible and those involved in cases of financial and administrative corruption.
The Prime Minister stressed, according to the statement, "there are no red lines in front of any corruption file linked to a political party or any person whatsoever," stressing that "the government will provide all support to the Integrity Commission, whether at the level of executive procedures or in the legislative aspect, by presenting projects Laws that address corruption and contribute to closing its outlets.
He pointed out that "the government's intention to form a supportive team for the Integrity Commission takes the legal status, and does not conflict with the commission's powers and tasks entrusted to it in accordance with its effective law No. (30 of 2011) as amended."
Al-Sudani indicated that "the goal is not limited to imprisoning the corrupt, but rather to provide preventive measures to reduce corruption, cultivate a culture of integrity and chastity of the hand, preserve public money, and prevent employees from being involved in violations or corruption crimes."
He stressed that "the first criteria in dealing with countries' governments is the extent of cooperation they show with Iraq to hand over those convicted of corruption cases and recover embezzled and smuggled funds."
